Въ рождествѣ дѣвство сохранила еси,
во успеніи міра не оставила еси, Богородице,
преставилася еси къ животу, Мати сущи Живота,
и молитвами Твоими избавляеши отъ смерти душы нашя. 		In giving birth thou didst preserve thy virginity,
In falling asleep thou didst not forsake the world, O Theotokos,
Thou wast translated to life O Mother of Life,
and by thy prayers you deliver our souls from death.

Kontakion (tone 2)

Въ молитвахъ неусыпающую Богородицу,
и въ предстательствахъ непреложное упованіе,
гробъ и умерщвленіе не удержаста:
якоже бо Живота Матерь, къ животу престави,
во утробу Вселивыйся приснодѣвственную. 		Neither the tomb, nor death, could hold the Theotokos,
who is constant in prayer and our firm hope in her intercessions,
For being the Mother of Life,
she was translated to life by the One Who dwelt in her virginal womb.
